Serena Wins Fourth Wimbledon Title

Serena Williams defended her Wimbledon title in the women's final on Saturday, crushing Vera Zvonareva, in two straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.

In just 67 minutes, top-ranked Williams beat the 21st seeded Russian, winning her fourth Wimbledon title and 13 Grand Slam Championship.

"My dream was able to come true," Serena said after lifting the championship dish above her head.  "Everyone's dream can come true if you just stick to it and work hard. This one is very special."

"Lucky" number 13 moved Williams to sixth place on the all-time list of women's Grand Slam champions, ahead of the legendary Billie Jean King

"Hey, Billie - I got you. This is No. 13 for me now," joked Williams to King, who was sitting in the royal box for the match, reported AP.  She added, " It's just amazing to able to be among such great people."

With Williams unloading nine aces in the match and only being broken by Zvonareva three times, the Russian never stood a chance.

Williams finished the entire tournament without losing a single set.

Between the two William sisters, Serena and Venus have now won nine of the last 11 Wimbledon titles, continuing the family dominance of the English grass courts.
