Rollins will be out of the Phillies lineup for the next three days to help tend to his new baby girl.
Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins was placed on 72-hour paternity leave on Tuesday, following the birth of his daughter, Camryn Drew Rollins, on Sunday.
Rollins did not play on Monday in the team's 2-1 loss to Washington.
Backstop Eric Katz was called up from the team's Triple-A affiliate to fill Rollins' roster spot. Katz has four homers in 21 games with Lehigh Valley this season.
