Sloan, who took over the team two years ago, siged a one-year contract extention last week. But the Deseret News reported in a tweet that he will step dow very soon. On Wednesday, Sloan appeared shaken" when he arrived late for his post-game interview. He disclosed that he had et with the team's general mager, Kevin O'Connor, but did not elaborate.
Sloan, 68, has had only one losing season since becoming the Jazz head coach in 1988. This year, the team is 31-23 and on pace to make the playoffs for the 20th time in 23 seasons.
