Lady Gaga Welcome in Yankee Clubhouse – If They Win

Lady Gaga is free to yell "Rah-rah" for the Yankees, but she and other celebs just won't be welcome in the clubhouse after losses.

The "Poker Face" singer talked her way past security and into the clubhouse after Friday's loss to crosstown rivals the Mets, and schmoozed with stars like Robinson Cano while reporters cooled their heels outside. That prompted reports that she was banned from the clubhouse altogether, but General Manager Brian Cashman clarified yesterday that Gaga, who was wearing a Yankees' jersey unbuttoned to reveal a black bra and a bikini bottom, was not to blame.

"She didn't do anything wrong," Cashman told the New York Post.

Cashman said celebs are allowed into the clubhouse, but only after victories. He seemed to blame team security for letting the flamboyant singer, who witnesses said was slurring her words, get through.

"There is a time and a place for that, and it's certainly not after a loss and not at the expense of the media doing their job," Cashman said.

"She's not banned. Celebrities aren't banned. If Michael Jordan showed up here he would have access [to the clubhouse], but not after a loss."

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said celebrities don't distract the first-place Yankees from winning.

"Our guys know that when it's time to play, it's time to play, and they're used to it," Girardi told ESPN.

Cano said he's a fan. "She can sing, I'll tell you that," Cano said.

Gaga has either taken a recent interest in baseball or simply discovered that making a spectacle of herself at packed stadiums is good publicity. She showed up at the Mets' park, Citi Field, in the fifth inning of a June 10 game, then went berserk when team officials  escorted her to front-row seats, which she deemed too close to sports photographers shooting the game.

When she was then taken to the empty luxury box of Jerry Seinfeld, Gaga swore at fans and gave double middle fingers to the crowd.
