Friends Seek Help for Jets Fans on GoFundMe Amid Dismal Season

Friends of suffering Jets fans have taken to GoFundMe in a desperate effort to add a bit of levity to a comically bad season for Gang Green.

At least two posts have popped up on the fundraising site seeking help for beleaguered Jets fans who their supporters say either need to have their heads examined or drown their sorrows, presumably in an alcohol-fueled night of partying.

Jets fans had high hopes for their team after a 10-win season last year, but an inept secondary and an offense run by a quarterback with a newfound penchant for throwing second-half interceptions rendered their aspirations simply impossible.

The now 3-9 Jets further frustrated their fan base with an abysmal 41-10 loss to the Colts at home on Monday night, prompting the flurry of GoFundMe pages.

In one post, friends seek help for their buddy Alex, saying they are concerned for his mental well being.

"We are worried Alex can't take this suffering anymore and he needs help! so we are trying to raise enough money to help him get his head checked in hopes he will start fresh and root for a new team. Thank you all for your donations you are doing a great cause by getting Alex the help he needs," the post reads.

In another, friends feature the fate of Brian, a Jet fan for more than two decades.

"He has not known what it feels like to have a franchise qb or hope for a winning season. With your help though, we can reach our goal of a $100 so he can have one night to drown his sorrows at the bar and forget about how bad his team really is," the page reads. "Help spread the word!"

The two pages have brought in a total of just $10 toward their combined goal of $600, but if the goal was simply to raise awareness of the plight of Jets fans across the globe, they certainly scored.
