Looks like the Jets won't have Thomas Jones next season.

Jones, who becomes a free agent on March 5, will not restructure his contract and will be released by Gang Green this week, sources told ESPN.

The running back was set to get a $3 million roster bonus on March 9, and a base salary of $2.8 million in 2010.

The removal of Jones, 31, who rushed for 1,402 yards and 14 touchdowns last season, will likely put the weight of the Jets' running game on young Shonn Greene and Leon Washington.
