Bill Guerin scored twice to reach 400 goals, Rick DiPietro made 28 saves in his first game since late October, and the New York Islanders snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over Toronto on Friday night.

Guerin became the 79th NHL player, and the eighth U.S.-born player, to score 400 goals. He also is the third player to accomplish the feat in an Islanders uniform.

Kyle Okposo and Freddy Meyer also scored for the Islanders. Lee Stempniak scored for Toronto. The Maple Leafs have lost two straight after winning five of six.
