The New York Islanders have recalled center Jeremy Colliton from Bridgeport of the AHL, a day after left wing Andy Hilbert sustained a hairline fracture in his left foot in a victory over Toronto.

Hilbert has eight goals and 17 points in 35 games this season. He is expected to be out indefinitely. Colliton has an assist in five games with the Islanders and has 17 points in 25 games for Bridgeport.

Goalie Yann Danis also was recalled from Bridgeport on Saturday and backed up Joey MacDonald against Buffalo. Rick DiPietro was scratched after returning Friday night from a two-month layoff after his second knee surgery in five months. He's expected to start Monday night at the New York Rangers.
