Gisele Rips Pats Receivers, Video Reveals

Tom Brady's wife points fingers after Patriots lose to Giants

Gisele Bundchen didn't wait long to start the blame game.

Bundchen, the Brazilian supermodel and wife of Patriots QB Tom Brady, was caught on video ripping the  Patriots receivers as she left Lucas Oil Stadium after the game -- seemingly putting the blame on them for the Patriots' 21-17 loss to the Giants in Super Bowl XLVI.

"You (have) to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball," Bundchen can be heard saying on the video, released by TheBigLead.com. "My husband cannot (bleeping) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time."

She has a point -- Patriots receivers had a few big drops, including one by Wes Welker on the Patriots second-to-last drive that could have set up a game-clinching field goal.

But, as NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio pointed out, Brady didn't exactly deliver a perfect pass, either. And it was Brady, not Welker or any of the Patriots receiver, who dug an early hole by intentionally grounding the ball in the end zone -- giving the Giants a safety and setting up the Giants first touchdown drive.

It's unclear how the comment will play in the Patriots locker room, but regardless of it, some of the Patriots receivers were fessing up to dropping key plays.

“It’s a play I never drop,” Welker told the New York Times. “I always make it. And in the most critical situation, I let the team down.”

The Super Bowl loss puts a dent in Brady's legacy. A win and Brady would have matched Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw as the only quarterbacks to win four Super Bowls. Instead, Brady has now lost two Super Bowls to Manning. Maybe that stings a bit for Bundchen, too -- her comment came after she was egged on by hecklers who yelled, "Eli Rules! Eli owns your husband!"
