Who is the best team in college basketball? Is it No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 UConn or No. 3 Pittsburgh? I'll wait a week and ask the Rutgers Scarlet Knights since they will play all three ... this week.

Rutgers lost to North Carolina today, 97-75. On Wednesday, they will host Pitt to open their Big East schedule. Then on Saturday they will visit UConn to face the Huskies. The top three ranked teams in the nation in a span of seven days. Yikes!

That certainly isn't Delaware State, Bryant University or N.J.I.T -- the Knights last three opponents. N.J.I.T hasn't won a game in two years. UNC, UConn and Pitt are a combined 35-0.

It is believed that this is the first time in history that one team will play the Associated Press' top three ranked teams in a row. In 1995, the Temple Owls faced the top three ranked teams in a one-month span.

It will get easier after this week, but not by much. Rutgers will welcome in Marquette and No. 17 Syracuse, travel to Cincinnati and then host No. 19 Louisville.
