RNC Spoof Ad Shows Dems Pulling a “Slater” Off Air Force One

Animated video shows Dems running from Obama

A new Republican spoof video shows congressional Democrats vying for re-election running from President Obama amid declining poll numbers and pulling a “Steven Slater” by exiting a cartoon Air Force One via the emergency slide.

The campaign video created by the Republican National Committee was posted on August 16, and so far has managed to get 56,000 views on You Tube.

"I'm coming to your hometowns!" a cartoon Obama says clad in a flight attendant’s uniform, prompting the candidates to reenact the now famous escape.

Unlike the Jet Blue flight attendant, none of the candidates are clutching beers (or at least none that we can see).

In an effort to capitalize on Obama's declining popularity amid his polarizing comments on the Ground Zero mosque and other issues, the RNC aimed to illustrate the fear experienced by some Democrats running for re-election.

The video goes on to air quotes from Democrats who have said that they are afraid to appear with the president.
