Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino will usurp the public airwaves this evening to talk about a "major" announcement.

It's just not clear what he'll say, according to a published report.

The political firebrand purchased TV time in Buffalo with three network affiliates to make his announcement at 5:13 p.m., but the only thing he's sure not to say is that he's dropping out of the race, sources told the Daily News.

Sources told the paper Paladino's campaign is endeavoring to get statewide time on Fox and already has deals in place to broadcast the announcement in Rochester, Albany, Syracuse, Long Island and Westchester. Anyone interested can also watch the message online at 5:13 p.m.
