Not known for shying away from the limelight, Mayor Michael Bloomberg will make an appearance on the "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" next week.
The mayor will be will appear on the show this upcoming Thursday August 26th, and will talk about a variety of topics.
The last time the mayor made an appearance on the show was in 2002.
Bloomberg has been making national news lately as a vocal defender of the proposed Islamic center and mosque near Ground Zero.
