Pakistani security officials examine the site of a suicide attack in Mardan, Pakistan, Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015.

Jamaat ur Ahrar, a Pakistani Taliban faction fighting to overthrow the government, claimed responsibility.

The attack took place as people were lined up at a branch of the National Database and Registration Authority, which issues government ID cards, in Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
