Snow Divers Take the Plunge After Blizzard Buries East Coast

As the eastern U.S. emerges from the throes of a historic blizzard, there are two things left to do: shovel snow and play in it.

Diving face-first into the fluffy white stuff seems to be the preferred method for many, including a brave duo who shed their layers and took the plunge in bathing suits and swim caps in Hagerstown, Maryland in a video posted by Kylie Kelly.

They weren't the only swimmers up for the challenge. Two members of the West Virginia University swim team donned suits and caps and launched into what appears to be at least 2 feet of snow while others cheered them on in a video posted by Chris McMahon.

The trend made its way up the coast to New York City, where Steven Wu face-planted into a pile of snow in Union Square in what he called a "perfect swimmers dive."

And Instagram video from Accokeek, Maryland, showed another snow-diver leaping off a railing and sinking into a pile of white.
