Guests Sneak Into Half Moon Bay Hotel, Bathe, And Leave…in a Clean Getaway

A pair of not-so-dirty-anymore miscreants have taken a surreptitious shower.

More slippery than a bar of soap, and the cleanest getaway yet.

A pair of "unknown suspects" managed to make their way undetected into a Half Moon Bay hotel room "just to take a shower" before making an escape, according to reports.

The San Francisco Examiner reported that a housekeeper at a hotel in the 3000 block of North Cabrillo Highway found two hotel rooms she had opened to clean "locked... from the inside."

That's where the suspects were "reportedly" using the showers sometime between 1:30 and 2 p.m on Wednesday, the newspaper reported.

San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies were called, but by that time, the suspects had "used the showers and left through the rear windows," the newspaper reported.

No word on whether they hung up the towels before departing.
