Ferguson Cop Fired, 2 Suspended for Racist Emails

The Ferguson Police Department has fired one officer and suspended two others over racist emails uncovered in a Justice Department investigation conducted in the aftermath of last year's fatal shooting of unarmed black teen Michael Brown, Ferguson Mayor James Knowles said Wednesday. "This type of behavior will not be tolerated in the Ferguson Police Department or any other department," Knowles said, hours after Attorney General Eric Holder slammed Ferguson police for disproportionately targeting blacks and creating a "highly toxic environment defined by mistrust and resentment."
