A Yonkers man sitting on his porch watching TV was shot in the stomach Thursday when a neighbor one floor below allegedly let loose 7 bullets by accident, police said.

Miguel Vazquez, 70, said he felt a burning pain and heard an explosion, but didn't think he had been shot.  His son, Julio, noticed a bullet hole in the floor of their Jones Street apartment and spotted blood on his father's shirt.

Police arrested a 21-year-old man and charged him with reckless endangerment among other charges. The suspect said the handgun went off accidentally.

Miguel Vazquez said he is in pain but thankful to be alive.
