Woman Hits Six New York TD Banks With Fake ID, Withdraws $26,000: Police

A woman has got away with $26,000 in cash after hitting six different New York TD Banks using fake identification to withdraw money, police say.

The NYPD is now searching for a woman they suspect went to three TD banks on Sept. 26, two branches on Sept. 27 and one last branch on Sept. 28 to withdraw thousands of dollars.

Police said it was reported the woman handed over a fake identification card to withdraw money from a business account.

The withdrawals ranged from $8,000 to $9,500 each time. Three of the visits the woman was unable to get any money out.

Surveillance footage was taken from the TD Bank on Canal Street, Manhattan, during one of the incidents, and police are now asking the public's help finding and identifying the suspect.

She is described as having long, straight brown hair and was last seen wearing a blue jacket and eyeglasses.
