LI Woman Accused of Killing Ex, Dumping Body

The body was found Friday morning near a bicycle path adjacent to the highway.

A Long Island woman has been charged with fatally stabbing her ex-husband, then dumping his body off a Long Island parkway.

The victim,  Walter J. Boland, 58, of North Bellmore,  was found Friday morning near a bicycle path adjacent to the parkway.

Police said Saturday they arrested Nancy Boland, his 56-year-old ex-wife.

An autopsy performed by the Nassau County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be a single stab wound to the lower abdomen.

Investigators believe Boland stabbed her ex-husband and dumped his body along the Wantagh Parkway.

His body was discovered 8 a.m Friday by a jogger running on the path.

Boland was arrested by State Police and charged with manslaughter, criminal possession of a weapon, and tampering with physical evidence.

The lawyer who represented her at the arraignment, Lisa Annibale, didn't immediately return a phone message.
