Rockland County Suspect Subdued with Stun Gun

Police said they were called to the four-story building on Oakdale Manor after receiving 911 calls Saturday evening

Police used a stun gun to subdue an ax-wielding man who was banging on doors of an apartment building in Suffern, N.Y.

 
Police said they were called to the four-story building on Oakdale Manor after receiving 911 calls Saturday evening.
 
The Journal News reports that the suspect repeatedly refused to drop the ax.
 
Police identified him as Marc Raimondi, a resident of the building.
 
He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing a police officer, both felonies.
 
He was remanded to Rockland County Jail on $50,000 bail pending a court date.
 
Police said he had a lengthy criminal record that included 11 misdemeanor convictions.
 
It wasn't immediately clear if Raimondi had a lawyer.
