A woman is in critical condition after falling on the subway tracks in Manhattan and becoming pinned under the first car of an oncoming train Thursday morning, authorities said.

The woman fell on the tracks at the Broadway-Lafayette station shortly before 10 a.m. and was struck by a southbound B train.

She was extricated from the train and taken to Bellevue Hospital where she is in critical condition.
