Police Search for Former Assistant DA, Missing Since Thursday

Richard Appleby, 66, worked in the Eastern District

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a former assistant district attorney who has been missing since Thursday.

Richard Appleby, 66, was last seen at his apartment at 333 West 86 St. in Manhattan on Thursday. 
 
Police say he has Parkinson's disease and has been off his medication since he's been missing. 
 
Appleby is 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds and was last seen wearing a denim shirt and black jogging pants, police said.
 
He worked out of the Eastern District in Brooklyn.
 
Anyone with information in regards to this missing person is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All call are strictly confidential.
