5 Firefighters Hurt in Park Slope Fire

Five firefighters were injured while battling a five-alarm fire on the second floor of an auto parts store in Park Slope Friday.

The injuries were minor, officials said.

The fire at the auto parts store on Fourth Avenue near Sackett Street was under control by about 4:30 p.m.

Thick smoke billowed throughout the neighborhood for hours.
