Serious Accident Shuts Down NJ Turnpike

A serious accident on the NJ Turnpike in Robbinsville, Mercer County has it shut down in both directions.

The New Jersey Turnpike and I-95 are shutdown in both directions after a serious accident.

Police say that a dump truck overturned just before exit 7A (Robbinsville) on the Turnpike around 9:55 Wednesday morning.

The truck caught fire shortly after overturning, causing the I-95 overpass to also catch fire, according to police.

I-95 in Mercer County is closed between exits 5 and 7. The Turnpike is also shut down in both directions approaching between exits 4 and 9.
