The Massachusetts girl who went missing after boarding a bus to New York City was found safe Wednesday in Jersey City.

NJ.com reports that the 13-year-old girl was found at the home of a 45-year-old Jersey City man whom sources say she met over the internet.

Charges are pending against Jorge Garzon, who also goes by the name George Gonzalez. He was arrested Wednesday morning outside his home.

The child was taken into protective custody by the NYPD and is awaiting a return to her family.

Authorities say the girl left her home on Friday, Nov. 4 and was shown on surveillance footage getting off a Peter Pan Bus at the Port Authority later that night.

Her family created a Facebook page to spread the word.
A post on the Facebook page Thursday morning said the police "acted on a tip" and credited her safe return to the "power of collective action."
