A Long Island teenager was arrested Saturday on a DWI charge after an early-morning crash that killed two passengers.
Suffolk County Police say Ryan Foote, 17, was driving the 2007 Hyundai southbound on Winters Drive when he lost control of the vehicle. The car hit a fence and trees, and two passengers were ejected from the vehicle.
The victims, James McClease, 18, and Rashawn Minter, 17, were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Foote was charged with driving while intoxicated at the scene of the crash, and is being treated at Stony Brook University Medical Center for injuries.
The vehicle was impounded, and the investigation is ongoing.
