iSmash-and-Grab at Conn. Apple Store

Police are searching for at least five suspects who smashed the front door of an Apple Store in Greenwich and made off with some very pricey merchandise.

It happened at the store at 365 Greenwich Avenue in the town's Central Business District around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspects broke into the store, grabbing numerous pieces of electronic equipment, police said.

Police could not say if it was iPods, iMacs or Mac Books that the thieves made off with, but did say the items were worth tens of thousands of dollars.

The group took off in a car after leaving the store.
