Police Arrest Suspect in Gunpoint-Kidnapping from a LI Bus Stop

The suspect is charged with kidnapping and sexual abuse.

Police say they have arrested a suspect in the gunpoint-kidnapping of a woman from a Great Neck, Long Island bus stop.

Nassau County police say Sirus Kashimallak is charged with kidnapping and sexual abuse in the Nov. 21 abduction.

They say he was detained Thursday after he approached a second woman at the same bus stop. The woman recognized him from a police sketch and called 911.

A call to a phone listed for the 50-year-old man went unanswered Saturday.

Police say that on Nov. 21 the suspect approached a 38-year-old woman at the bus stop and brandished a handgun. They say he drove her around for about 30 minutes, sexually abused her and then dropped her off at a railroad station.
