A woman attacked a stranger from behind with a glass bottle, cutting her head, police said Sunday.
Surveillance video was released to help determine the identity of the attacker.
On the morning of April 3, the 47-year-old victim was walking on 242nd Street in the Bronx when a woman she did not recognize came up from behind and hit the back of her head with a glass bottle, police said. She fell to the ground while the attacker ran away.
The victim was treated for her head injury at a local hospital, police said.
