Former White Plains Mayor Arrested

Adam Bradley was arrested Friday night after surrendering to police on a misdemeanor contempt of court charge.

The former mayor of White Plains has been arrested on a misdemeanor contempt of court charge.

The Journal News reports that former Mayor Adam Bradley was arrested Friday night after surrendering to police and released without bail.

Public Safety Commissioner David Chong told the newspaper the charge involved an alleged violation of an order of protection banning him from contacting his wife.

Bradley resigned in February after being convicted of attempted assault after his estranged wife said he slammed a door on her fingers. He also was convicted of harassment and criminal contempt for violating an order of protection.

The Democrat is appealing the convictions. Bradley claimed his wife made up the charges.

The two are in the midst of a divorce.
