Viewer Juan Miguel Aponte asked: How do you figure out the wind chill factor? Raphael Miranda answers in this first installment of "Ask the Storm Team."
After a biting cold put a freeze on the tri-state, temperatures should warm up Tuesday, bringing along clouds and some rain.
Meteorologists expect the rain to break out Tuesday afternoon and evening. Far north and west, snow and sleet may cause some slippery spots in Ulster and Sullivan counties for the evening commute. All of the rain/snow should exit late Tuesday evening.
Another shot of cold air and wind arrive Wednesday and Thursday. Clouds increase Friday, but rain should hold out throughout the day.
Below is the forecast for the week.
TUESDAY: Cloudy with some rain developing
HIGH: 44
WEDNESDAY: Morning clouds giving way to clearing, windy and chilly.
