You Betcha! Tina Fey “Thinks” She'll Be Back as Palin on SNL

Tina Fey will reprise her wildly popular role as former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin -- maybe.

The comedian appeared on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" Thursday night to promote her new movie "Date Night." She's also hosting Saturday Night Live on April 10.

When Fallon asked Fey if she will once again play the role that had viewers and YouTube watchers laughing across the nation, Fey said, "I'm gonna try, I think so."  She also revealed that Seth Meyers was working on a skit.

Eager fans lined up outside 30 Rock as early as Friday morning for a chance to score tickets to tomorrow night's show.

"I think it was very funny," a 16-year-old fan said of Fey's impression of Palin. "I'd love to see it again."

She plans to wait outside until Saturday morning for a chance to see it. And if it rains?

"I have umbrellas," the teen said with a smile.

Fey won an Emmy in 2009 for her portrayals of Sarah Palin in a series of hysterical skits that concluded with a side-by-side appearance with the then-GOP vice presidential candidate. Fey's impressions of Palin generated some of the funniest, most watched episodes of the iconic show -- and viewers are likely thrilled at the chance to see her assume the pitbull-esque role again.

Officials at the NBC show aren't talking. "SNL'' generally doesn't discuss upcoming sketches because plans often change.

Fey's performances of Palin were an icon of the 2008 campaign and drew huge ratings for "SNL.'' They also helped earn her the title of 2008 AP Entertainer of the Year.

Fey also stars on the NBC sitcom "30 Rock.'' She says the "SNL'' hoopla was "the strangest thing that's ever happened to me.''

Teen pop star Justin Beiber also appeared on "Late Night."  Beiber is the musical guest on SNL this Saturday. The singer told Fallon that he, too, will be involved in comedy skits on the show.
