18-Year-Old Shot Dead in Queens

An 18-year-old man was shot to death in Queens Friday afternoon.

Police say they found Shawn Plummer near Beach 29th Street and Seagirt Boulevard in Far Rockaway with a gunshot wound to his head.
 
He was transported to St. John's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
 
Friends remembered Plummer on a Facebook group created Friday in his memory. 
 
"I'm still in disbelief," wrote Sha'Von Temple. "I'm mad as ever I couldn't save you."
 
One of Plummer's former teacher's at Automotive High School in Queens wrote thath e was "truly a pleasure to have in class. He was always respectful."
 
The investigation is ongoing.
