Department of Sanitation Gets $20 Million for Sandy Cleanup

The $20 million is in addition to a $26 million grant the department has already been given

New York City's Department of Sanitation is getting $20 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help pay for Superstorm Sandy cleanup efforts.

 
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the FEMA grant on Friday.
 
The $20 million is in addition to a $26 million grant the department has already been given.
 
FEMA has also already given grants to New York University Langone Medical Center, the New York Police Department, and Suffolk and Nassau counties.
