Police are looking for the driver of a livery cab accused of leaving the scene after hitting an 8-year-old boy in Brooklyn.
The Daily News says Frankelly Acevedo was taken to Brookdale Hospital on Friday evening.
He was bleeding badly and suffered head injuries. But a neighbor says the little boy still tried to comfort his mother. He told her not to cry.
He was thrown about 20 feet by the impact.
Witnesses say he and other children were playing near a fire hydrant when the accident occurred.
