Suspect Caught After Escaping From Back of Police Car on Thanksgiving

The 28-year-old suspect slipped out the back of a police car outside Brooklyn Central Booking.

Police have found the robbery suspect who fled from their custody on Thanksgiving -- not far from the police car she escaped from.

Janine Power, 28, of Brooklyn, was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly robbing a cab driver of $30 and his cell phone.

After Power completed the arrest process, she snuck out the back of a parked cop car in front of Brooklyn Central Booking, where she was taken after her arrest was completed.

She was found and arrested Saturday afternoon at a gas station on Coney Island Avenue and Avenue P with Anthony D'Angelo, 41, of Staten Island.

Charges are pending against both of them.
