Yonkers Woman Arrested In Fatal Hit and Run

Victim was a Bronxville school official

An 85-year-old Yonkers woman has been arrested in the hit and run death of a Bronxville school official.

The Journal News reports that Bridget Gambone was arraigned Friday on a charge of felony leaving the scene of an incident which
resulted in a death.  Police say Gambone was driving on Kraft Avenue Thursday night when she struck 59-year-old Sheryl Chasin and fled the scene.  A second driver ran over Chasin while she was lying on the roadway, but stopped at the scene and was not charged.

Police say alcohol or drugs did not appear to have played a role in the death, but they are awaiting blood test results from both drivers.
