Police in Yonkers are investigating after two men were found shot inside a parked vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
An unmarked police car was in the area of Lake and Morningside avenues at about 1:30 p.m. when the officers heard gunshots in the area, according to police.
The officers found a parked car on Morningside Avenue with two shot men inside, police said. The men were taken to two different local hospitals in serious condition.
One of the victims, identified as 33-year-old Kenneth Hill, was pronounced dead at about 2:15 p.m. The other victim, a 37-year-old man, was in stable condition and is expected to survive his injuries. Both were Yonkers residents.
Police said preliminary investigation indicates the two victims may have been targeted and that the shooting was not random.
