Police say a woman riding a mobility scooter has been fatally struck by a car in Brooklyn.

The accident happened early Wednesday at Eastern Parkway and Utica Avenue.

The 56-year-old victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her name was not released.

Police said the woman was struck by a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria traveling eastbound on the Eastern Parkway. The driver remained at the scene.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
