A woman was followed by a man who punched her in face repeatedly and shoved her down a flight of stairs just so he could steal her purse, police say.
The 38-year-old woman was followed the man to the Carroll Street subway station in Brooklyn when she was slugged, according to the NYPD. After the sucker-punch, the man snatched her purse and pushed her down the G train station stairs in a desperate attempt to get away, officials said.
The man, who police say is about 20 years old, fled with the woman’s cell phone and $150.
The woman was not seriously hurt, the NYPD said, and was treated at the scene.
