Police Seek Woman Who Robbed Long Island Bank

The woman walked into the bank, handed the teller a threatening note and demanded cash, police said

Police on Long Island are searching for a woman who allegedly robbed a bank Tuesday morning.

It happened at about 10:30 a.m. at the Babylon branch of People's United Bank at 375 Deer Park Ave., according to Suffolk County police.

The woman walked into the bank, handed the teller a threatening note and demanded cash, police said. The teller complied and handed her cash from the drawer.

The suspect then ran away.

The robber is said to be in her 40s, with a medium build. She had crooked teeth and was wearing her hair in a ponytail, police said. She was also wearing a green jacket, a white cap and sunglasses.
