Woman Pulled to Safety From Frigid Hudson River: Officials

A woman was safely pulled from the frigid waters of the Hudson River Wednesday night, officials say.

Rescue crews rushed to scene at 12th Avenue and 34th Street shortly after 10 p.m. and found the woman in the water, according to authorities.

The woman was pulled to safety and taken to an area hospital, where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

Video from the scene shows the woman in the water struggling to stay above the surface and then a rescue worker jumps in pulling her to safety.

It was not immediately clear how she ended up in the water.
