A woman was hit, then dragged by an SUV near the Midtown tunnel entrance Sunday morning, police said.
The victim was struck by a black SUV at 10:30 a.m. as she was crossing the street near the entrance to the Midtown tunnel at East 38th Street and Second Avenue, police said. The vehicle did not stop and subsequently dragged the woman to East 37th Street.
The victim is in critical condition at Bellevue Hospital, authorities said.
