Woman Finds Ring in Gloves While Holiday Shopping, Turns to Facebook for Help Finding Owner

A Long Island woman is on a quest for the owner of a ring she found inside a pair of gloves she purchased from a Kohl's department store.

Sarah Chorne of Baldwin says she was holiday shopping at Kohl’s Sunday night and purchased a pair of Dockers gloves for a family member.

When returned home, she had her father try them on. Her father said he felt something and then he pulled out the ring.

"My first reaction was, 'My God, I stole something,'" she said. "Then i'm like wait, that's not what happened."

Chorne believes the ring to be an heirloom.

Chorne immediately called the store about the ring, but no customer has come forward to report it lost.

"I want to be able to give their ring back," she said. "I assume it means a lot."

Chorne turned to Facebook in an attempt to track down the owner of the ring and has asked people to spread the word. So far, her Facebook post has garnered over 2,000 shares and over 100 comments.

A number of commenters advised her not to share the description of the ring, as the real owners would be able to describe it. She's also witholding a photo of the ring for the same reason.
