Authorities in Newark say an earlier report of woman underneath a sidewalk grate appears to have been unfounded.
Emergency responders were called to 129-131 Market St. at about 5:15 p.m. after receiving a report of a woman trapped underneath a grate.
Rescuers searched underneath the grate and did not find anyone.
Police are investigating the call.
