Authorities are investigating after a 42-year-old woman reported a stranger walked up to her on a Brooklyn street and hit her in the head with a tree branch over the weekend.
Police say the woman said the stranger attacked her around 5:30 p.m. Sunday near Belmont and Christopher avenues in Brownsville.
It wasn't clear if the woman was hurt.
No arrests have been made.
