Husband Accused of Stabbing Wife, 23, to Death

A 23-year-old woman was stabbed to death, allegedly by her husband, in an attack that began in a car and ended outside a Bronx home, police said.

Officers responding to a 911 call Saturday found Amarita Khan unconscious with multiple knife wounds, police said.

The South Ozone Park, Queens, resident was pronounced dead at Jacobi Medical Center.

Police say her husband, 25-year-old Nazir Khan, allegedly started stabbing her inside a car around 6 p.m. and continued attacking her after she tried to flee.

Several people saw the altercation unfold in front of a home on Home Avenue, between the Parkchester and Morris Park neighborhoods.

Khan was charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
