A winning $1 million lottery ticket has been sold in New Jersey.
State lottery officials say a Jersey Cash 5 ticket worth $1,112,555 was sold at Gaby Mini Market on the 200 block of 17th Avenue in Paterson.
The winning numbers in Wednesday's drawing were 12,13, 28, 31 and 40. The XTRA number was 2.
Over 1 million tickets were purchased for the drawing, state lottery officials said. The retailer gets $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.
The jackpot had climbed over $1 million after six straight drawings were held without a winning match, according to NJ Advance Media. The odds of a $1 ticket matching five numbers are 962,598 to 1.
