Cops Question “Suspicious Person” Found at Ferry Terminal

Authorities are questioning a man taken into custody at the Whitehall Street South Ferry terminal after police observed him acting suspiciously.

Upon questioning him, police discovered that the man had two passports and multiple social security numbers on him, sources told NBC New York. He also was carrying maps of the subway system and maps that had LaGuardia and Kennedy airports "circled" on them, law enforcement sources said.

City officials says the man in custody had a Bangladeshi Passport  and five Social Security cards. But officials noted that it didn't seem that the man was plotting any grand scheme -- rather he may have just been emotionally disturbed.

The man is being held at the First Precinct in lower Manhattan where he is being questioned by the NYPD.  At no time was ferry  or subway service stopped or delayed.
